Been feeling jaded these days. Empty feeling inside for some reason. Maybe cos theres nth to feel the void within me, n with everyday feeling the same ie. wake up go to work return home eat sleep, cun help but feel theres no purpose in life right now.

    Feeling of insecurity
    Overwhelming
    Unbearable intolerance
    Exploding

    Random inadequacy
    Void and empty
    Bored, tired, lacking
    Nevertheless, still trying
And not very good at rhyming.

    Wasted.

Spent half a day sleeping away, trying to get rid of the throbbing in my head. Gd thing the hangoverish feeling ceased. Yest was the first time i puked after downing so much alcohol. And i dun even noe if i divulged anything overly-scandalous after i lost consciouness. Good thing it was at my fren's place. If i was at some club i might probably end up getting raped or robbed.
The next morning when i woke up i found myself lying on the floor just outside the bathroom. Oh yea, i rmbed crawling my way to the toilet to avoid dirtying the floor with my insides. And apparently my fren had to lug me out of the bathroom cos i ended up sleeping there. But puking makes one feel so much better. Whisky is slow, lethal poison i tell ya.
And now my lower body hurts due to the squash game. Butt, thighs, hamstrings. Im currently walking like a stroke patient. Ouch.

Never ever place a shot glass n a few bottles of hard liquor in front of me. My brain will just keep telling me im thirsty.

Had a sudden urge to eat xiao long bao, thus went to Paragon Din Tai Fung to satisfy my cravings. Really tired these days. Realised that i get less than 5 hrs of sleep a day. I wonder how i even survive at work without dozing off every other minute, given that my job is quite mundane n unexciting.

After dinner we were abt to go shop arnd when we heard music coming from upstairs n the next thing we knew, we were watching the Jean Paul Gaultier fashion show. From lvl 3 tho. And there werent any hot models, face wise, boo. But must say some pieces are quite noteworthy.

Need more money. Shall read up more abt investments n stocks.
N Nid more accessories to accessorize.
    Ok babbling.
    Sianz life sux these days.

Gosh i have a George O'Malley (Grey's Anatomy) at my workplace. He just doesnt know when to stop talking, even when all im giving him are one word replies and uninterested nods of agreement. Dun mistake me, he's nice n all, but he invades ur personal thinking space of silence too often. That's George O'Malley for you. Go watch Grey's anatomy for more info. Potentially addictive show tho, once ur hooked ur screwed.

He's 18. Too young n vibrant for matured grown up me. Hah.

Lets see, wad happened last wk. Went for a supposedly really successful class outing, attendance wise. I din join them for the buffet lunch cos i condemned Sakura. Yes, their food sux so much i'd rather forgo interacting with classmates i havent seen in years than risk puking in front of their faces. Settled for Thai Express instead, wif yif. Much better than sakura, but lets just say the past week wasnt exactly a very gastronomical experience for me. My own loss for only joining the class after lunch, for LAN. Of all things. Good thing the lan place was quite a distance away, n while walking there i got to catch up wif some of my frens i havent talked to in ages.

Went for karaoke after tt at k-ster wif jc clique. I like their system, with the mouse to choose ur songs, way faster. N there's tamborines for you to fiddle wif while ur waiting for ur song, adding spunk to the song at the same. A good way to muff out ur fren's not-so-glamourous voice, or annoy the hell out of em while they try to prefect their solo. Not as cheap as the previous time i came tho, mayb due to lesser ppl. Oh well, more airtime.

Sat on the coolest bus on my way home today. The 153 i took didnt have the typical seats, but instead spotted 2 long white leather couches on both sides of the bus. Really comfy and gives you a sudden urge to club. Seriously. Too bad didnt take any photos wif my own camera, ill look like a total idiot with my Xenon flash, and ppl might think im a stalker or sick pervert. Worse, the people sitting on the opposite side of the couch facing me was an elderly couple. So here are photos koped from the Nokia site. It looked exactly liked that, n eyes, like hips, dun lie.

Read here for more information on the cool clubbing bus. Kudos to Nokoia 5300 for making our public transport more groovy, though its just temporary. Mayb the govt might gather a few perky ideas to boost our buses and cabs. Imagine you enter a typically crowded bus wif cool tunes and everyone's dancing while on the expressway. Like woah.

On a side note, I hate auto flush cubicles. The seating kind that is.
    1) They flush for no reason, even when ur still seating down there passing ur shit. Water wastage i tell ya. And you give people waiting outside false hope that you finished.
    2) Couple that with ultra strong gushes that are supposed to keep the inner cubicle walls sparkly clean. Ooh wet.
    3) To top things off, imagine you have diarrhoea and the toilet bowl is clogged. The rim's the limit, can you zip up in time?

Mayb its just me n my butt. Or the sensor hates me. Do you often get flushed too? Pun intended.

Whew. Im lazy to blog abt the whole wk so im gonna be real concise. Updating my boring life on a regular basis is getting mundane, is it not? Esp when nth drastic is happening now.

Let's see. Went Vivo for the 2nd time, nice shopping haven. Watched 300, good slow-mo artistic violence (think Sincity), ok storyline. Went Ikea, have the sudden inspiration to refurbish my room, which i hope i can n will a mth before uni starts.
Most probably going HK in May. wif the choir clique. Highly anticipated, considering our last trip tgr was Bintan, more than 2 yrs back. And we had a helluva fun time. Then goin Batam for food n shoppin this end of the mth, wif my Mum. Yay, shopping indulgence curbed.

Food pics from Sushi-tei. Nabeyaki Udon, Beef Soba, and Soft-Shell Crab. Nth fantastic abt all of them, my soba kinda sucked in fact.

And a pic from jaiyan's 21st. Really really lazy, plus it happened a wk ago. Read more abt it on her blog, just by clicking on her link on the left. All of us look like sensible mature young adults alrdy. Haha. And it was a really heartwarming party. You can tell just from the decorations haha.

Had a really nice time yest. Lots of photos up ahead.

Anw, josh, yif n i decided to meet up aft a long time of not doin so, n it was great reminiscing old times, talking abt everything n anything. And now that everyone (esp yif hah) is more financially independent we can afford the occasional treating of meals n taking turns to pay the bill, like how the adults do it lol. So we went to Ma Maison and Fish n Co. Nth much to say abt fish n co since everyone probably visited that place b4. As usual, their lemon n butter sauce was sinfully good with the mussels drenched in them. Plus their calamari n hot fudge brownie w vanilla ice cream.

The winner of the week would be Ma Maison. With the nice ambience that resembles that of an old english countryhouse restaurant n the smooth jazzy songs, n the nice service makes this place worth revisiting just for these plus points alone.

See what i mean? And no, i didn't include the lady in the pic on purpose. I was just lazy to stand up from my seat n stand in the middle of the room and attract unwanted attention to myself.

First up was the escargots, n i gotta say, presentation wise, it just blew me away. Notice the flame burning below. And its not just for show, it really adds extra flavour to the garlic butter sauce, making it more fragrant. A true joy to eat.

Then came the Camembert cheese potatoes. Woah, another droolsome one. The quality of the cheese is much better than mozarella, its so stretchy we literally pulled it above our heads and the cheese still didnt break off. Seriously. The more you pull the more it stretches. You have to use ur knife to cut it apart really. Thats just the cheese. The potato is fantastic also, not overcooked, with the skin slightly crisp. And theres a tiny prawn to go along too. Yum.

As if the starters weren't enuf to impress, the jumbo hamburger steak came. I can safely say this is one of the best hamburger steaks i've eaten. Yif even says it beats the $50+ one from some hotel, cun rmb. Not oily at all, with the outside grilled nicely n the inside still tender, yet it doesnt break off easily like some lousy minced meat. And goes nicely with the brown sauce (u can choose btw brown sauce or trad jap sauce btw). Not to mention the potatoes taste even tho its just a side, crispy outside, soft inside.

Another specialty of the house: beef straganov with butter rice. The rice is wrapped in egg, omelette style. A lil stingy on the beef i must say, the sauce compared to the hamburger steak's has a stronger taste, meant to be eaten wif the rice. The egg complements the rice, and overall quite a good combination. Josh thinks its too complicated a taste tho.

My main course was the Ma Maison gratin. The taste was more simple, encompassing mayo, egg, corn, chicken bits n a bit of tomato sauce, baked into one wholesome goodness, n then served on a hot plate. Sorry no pic, too eager to dig into my food since it looks good. Will just leave it up to ur imagination here.

Guess wads this? No prizes for winners, its the bill. Haha.
Anw, you actually bring this to the counter to pay for ur meal. Definitely somewhere i'd visit again n again in the future, but its known to be really crowded on weekend nites. The starters are enuf to leave you crawling back for more. Value for money tts for sure.

Next blog entry will be abt jiayan's bdae party, which also happened yest evening. But that will updated another day, to prevent my entry from getting too long n boring that it becomes indigestible. Literally.

    Friday, March 02, 2007

Yay end of the week, and start of a new mth! Means ill be getting my v first paycheck soon, sometime next wk i think. So all those out there hungry for a treat, now's the time to act nice :). Hmm wad interestin stuff happened this wk. Oh yah a colleague of mine quitted last wed, found a sales job. And sales here would mean selling ball bearings to clients from diff companies that will nid to use them in their production.

Which brings up a random thought in my head: ppl tend to have stereotypical view and create first impressions v quickly. Or mayb im quick to assume, but i noe im one of them. For example, if you say u work at Macdonald's, ppl would think ur the person behind the counter serving ppl the extra value meals, when Macdonald's HQ would probably have 100s of diff job positions which involve paperwork rather than anything else. Or maybe if a fren tells you 'Hey i work at [insurance/MLM company name], wanna have dinner tonite? we havent met in a long time....' blabla, you would probably think hes trying to sell you some insurance policy.

I guess im someone hu takes first impressions seriously. Cos once an image of someone is embedded into the mind, it takes a while before the mind decides to change the perspective of the person. So, looking good is not all abt impressing the ladies. Its mostly, but not all lol.

Oh also went for my final driving lesson on wed nite. Was distracted for some reason, and nearly knocked down this mother n child on a pedestrian crossing. Like o_O. First time driving at nite la, must cut me some slack. Everythin else was real smooth tho. Test coming up in 2 wks, n im wondering if i shld spend extra money to take revision lessons. The dilemma.

Went to watch Hannibal Rising on thursday. 2 hrs of crap. Was expecting SAW-style killings, but the gore was just mediocre. To sum up the movie in one sentence, you just anticipate for all his enemies to die n he becoming a monster, think: 'yay! one down, how many left ah?', and then watch Gong Li, whos his aunt, get all sobby and pitiful that u think: 'just have the incestrous sex n get over it'. And Hannibal is the name of the main char btw. So no, he doesnt eat everyone.

Oh and we managed to open a bottle of bacardi breezer in the theatre! Secret tip: use the drinks holder.

And taking photos in the theatre is a good way to wait for the movie to start.

On a side note, middle aged women can be really horny. And perverted. Dun ask me how i noe.
I nid a six pack. And i dun mean beer.
